Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP), launched by the Government of Canada, is to help small and medium-sized businesses get online and adopt new technologies in order to develop their competitiveness and capacity. If eligible, you can use the grant funding to get online, increase your sales, improve your business social media presence and marketing, and better connect with your online clients.
The way CDAP works is through the two following streams:
- Grow Your Business Online which is designed for small or medium-sized businesses in Canada provides up to $2,400 to qualified businesses in order to set up e-commerce and grow their sales online. To be eligible, your business is required to meet certain qualifications such as being registered or incorporated, and at least having one employee or had minimum $30,000 in annual revenue during the most recent tax year. To find out if your business is eligible, please use the assessment tool on the Canada Digital Adoption Program main page.
- Boost Your Business Technology is for larger businesses. Qualified applicants can get up to $15,000 to receive advice on the technologies that can help with growing their business moving forward. To be eligible, your business is required to meet certain qualifications such as being for-profit, and having at least $500,000 in annual revenue in one of the last three years. A qualified business would also be able to get up to $100,000 interest-free loan from the Business Development Bank of Canada.
